He did not come to the Pope, but his connection with Loreto was emblematic. On 25 June 1926 he came to Loreto on the occasion of the preparatory phase of the national Fuci congress held in Macerata. On 11 September 1993 he came on the occasion of the regional Eucharistic congress of Macerata. September 1, 1962 was a historic visit: he met the pilgrims of the Lombard Unitalsi; he stopped with them giving a speech off the cuff "In Loreto there is joy and celebration because the Holy House is a continuous reminder of the fundamental mystery of the Marian cult: the Incarnation"
Paul VI was responsible for the constitution "Lauretanae Almae Domus" of 24 June 1965 with which he modified the ecclesiastical government of Loreto, establishing the Pontifical Delegation of the Shrine and the Prelature of the Holy House.
